Salmon Toast ~ Healthy & Tasty treat

One of my favorite of fishes after the King fish is Salmon, both these fishes are totally different - reason is King Fish is more on the fatty side (bad fats) and Salmon is rich in Omega 3 which is very good for health.

Tonight for dinner we had this simple toasted Salmon which is healthy and perfect for a light dinner. We paired it with some veggies and my husband had some egg whites too. One day a week we tend to have baked chicken/fish for dinner and today I wanted to try a toasted version that is quick and simple to do in a jiffy. You can use any fish fillets / boneless with or without skin.

Cook & prep time ~ 15-18 mins
Serves ~ 2

Ingredients

Salmon fillets - 2 (I used boneless & skinless)
Olive oil - 2 tsp (extra-virgin)
1 tsp red chilli powder (can be reduced according to spice tolerance)
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp lemon
Sea salt - as per taste
1/4 Basil (dried)

Method

Mix all ingredients along with oil and spread on both sides of fish equally, let it sit for 10 minutes
Heat a flat pan/ tawa and when nice and hot place the fish on the tawa and let it cook for 3 minutes each side, flip once on each side carefully. If required use a lid to cover the fish for it to cook well.

Once cooked place in a pool of salad/ veggies and enjoy !!!
